The Generalist Syndrome
Where I explore the concept of “generalist syndrome,” in which individuals with a wide range of skills may unknowingly limit themselves by relying on their own capabilities instead of considering alternative, potentially more effective solutions.

I was thinking about a recent interview I conducted with a multi-faceted curator. The opportunity came to me, but interviews are always on my mind for Sentiers. Whether for the website, as members-only content, or a hypothetical zine/magazine.
When considering what I can do, would want to do, and what might interest readers, I focus on “what I can do.” I don’t think about “what could be done,” regardless of skills and interests. It might have been better to find a local interviewer for a face-to-face meeting, or to use a podcast or video podcast. In other cases, an infographic might better address a topic than a collection of articles. But those options don’t always come to mind.
